The Notebook…

Ahh, the ubiquitous notebook. Keeper of knowledge…..part numbers, phone numbers, stock numbers…..notes to remember, jobs lists, construction plans…..joining dates, mustering dates, selling dates…..What’s in yours if you have one?

They do have an annoying tendency to dive into water troughs at odd times, but my favourite information pages are the ear tag colours and their corresponding years, and the breeding table, which let’s you look at a table, giving you the gestational times for a variety of different critters like cattle, sheep, horses and dogs, and the expected arrival date of the potential offspring, so long as you’ve remembered to note the joining date
