Cluck Cluck…

We’re heading home with a load of parts, fresh vegetables and a box of half grown chickens (brown Leghorns because I couldn’t find white ones) much to the Boss’s disgust. They do fill the car with a certain aroma, but it will dissipate when we unpack…..truly!

These (pictured) are not them. These are bantam Plymouth Rocks that have both gone clucky and are fiercely committed to sitting on their ping-pong balls.

My littlest chicken is back in the boarding school nest.

Best of wishes to everyone going back to school this year, the parents of school goers, all the boarding school staff and especially to the teachers who are trying to educate our little (and not so little) cherubs while navigating the thicket of record keeping, school politics, problem parents and the ever-changing educational goalposts. Bless you.
